Okay, hello people. ๐Ÿ‘€I really need to start posting the Korean series I said I would. But whenever I want to start, I get overwhelmed and don't know where to start๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Welcome to Chandigarh. You see, this world is strange. In some parts of the world, women are fighting for the right of the choice to abort when they want. On the other side, some women are fighting, even running away from home, getting beaten up and murdered, to prevent their babies from being murdered, remember Secret Superstar?

Am I also the only one that noticed that depending on the side of the divide you are, it could be a ‘baby’ or a ‘bunch of cells’? Talk about interpretation, meaning and value.

In this movie, there’s a couple. When they were children, the families agreed to do an arranged marriage custom for when the children are matured. Family A’s son, Dave marries Family B’s daughter, Sarah and Family B’s son, Nick marries Family A’s daughter, Lolo. Then whatever happens to any of the children will happen to the other set. For example, if Dave slaps Sarah, Sarah must tell her parents who will instruct Nick to slap Lolo.

Back to the story, our protagonists are married with a nine-year old daughter. The wife is currently pregnant and they are all praying for a boy. A first-born daughter is forgivable but after that, never. So, they have had 6 abortions. They did ultrasounds and found they were girls and ended them. Well, the grandparents commanded it and the husband has never done anything they didn't approve of.

The doctor says the wife is too weak for an abortion and she can’t ascertain the child’s gender at that time but tells the husband in private that it is a girl. Not wanting his wife to abort this one, they go on the run to a village where they used to abort all female children and now have none, Ladoopur, because abused or threatened women are taken care of there.

The grandparents (Grandpa is the village chief) find out the child is a girl and put out a bounty on the wife’s head and will do anything to end this baby before she is born. It’s seriously shocking.

As with all Indian movies, it’s packed and quite lengthy so I’ll stop here #aslittlespoilersaspossible. I’m tired of typing as well. It’s been a while I was in school and I’m not used to brain work no more, guys.

Watch the movie, it’s worth it. Comedy is on point, emotion was delivered on all sides and the lead actor is Deepika Padukone’s husband - Ranveer Singh, the lead in Simmba and the evil king in Padmaavat. Also 2 quite lovely movies.

Thanks for your time, guys, I appreciate it.

Check out Laila Majnu, Tutak Tutak Tutiya, Raanjhana as well. 3 different movies with great stories.

P.S. I'm thinking about uploading only twice a week so this place doesn't get clogged. What's your view?

P.S.S. Do you like my new page color? Yay or Nay?
